The IFCWMA holds meetings four times a year. Minutes from previous meetings are listed in our news section.

Workshops & classes are planned periodically. They can include field tours, seminars and workshops for teachers or landowners. To see some of the past workshops hosted, visit the workshops page.

We always need volunteers! Check the volunteer listing for an opportunity to help at our next weed pull planned for 2010.

Invasive Weed Identification at Farmers Market
Do you have a weed, be it herb, shrub or tree, that knows no bounds, that strangles crops, whose roots capture all your fertilizer and even worse, stinks? Put a name on that problem; Saturday, July 10th the Iron Furnace Cooperative Weed Management Area will have a representative at the Ironton Farmers Market located next to Austin's restaurant to identify weeds. Bring a sample, a photo, whatever you think will be helpful and all effort will be expended to hang a name on the beast. Samples will also be put out with the expectation that seeing will trigger recognition. Books will be present, if needed, and information about resources which are available to help with unwanted, invasive plants. There will be no charge for this service.
Again, this opportunity for weed identification will be on Saturday, July 10, 2010 around 6:30 a.m. at the Ironton Farmers Market located next to Austin's restaurant in Ironton.
